How to play in a tournament?
First, go to the Tournaments section to choose the tournament.
Now set the type of the tournament, control, date etc. According to your preferences.
World Chess will suggest you a tournament. Click on it and then on the "Join" button. You will be notified by email 30 minutes before the tournament starts.
*Some tournaments can be joined after they started. You’ll see a join button if it is possible.
What's the Rating system?
The rating system on World Chess is now called the Online Elo — the only official Elo rating you can earn online, calculated according to FIDE rules and recognized by FIDE, available to every registered player.
Are there any restrictions?
If you can't join a tournament, it might be that the maximum number of participants has already registered, or the tournament is being held for a specific group (groups can be specified by rating or region).
