The more rated games you play, the faster you’ll get your Online Elo and progress toward a World Chess Title. These features help.
Play more than one game at a time
Once a game has started, you can start another one. To switch between your active games:
Web: tap the board icon to the left of your avatar.
App: tap the board icon to the left of your avatar.

Join another player’s game with Smart Pick
Don’t want to wait for an opponent? Pick an open request from another player:
Web: go to Lobby in the top menu and click another player’s request.
App: tap Lobby above the board and choose a request.
Changed your mind?
To cancel your search before the game starts, click the X on the spinning gear.
Play in tournaments
All tournaments are rated, and only tournament games count toward World Chess Titles. Join as many as you can. See How to get a World Chess Title?
