Your name, surname, and date of birth in your Chess ID are automatically pulled directly from your verified identity document.
To keep tournaments official and fair, user details in the digital passport cannot be manually edited or changed — even by our support team. Your Chess ID must always match your official government ID.
Do I need a FIDE ID?
No! A FIDE ID is not mandatory. If you don't have one linked, your passport will simply show FIDE ID: not linked and will still be fully valid.
